Abstract (EN)

The objective of the present study was to determine the tolerance of Chromohalobacter sp strains to lead, evaluate the biosorption of the metals in living and dead biomass as well as it has been aimed to determine the effect of lead to Aminolevulinic acid dehydratase enzyme (ALAD; Porphobilinogen synthase; E.C.4.2.1.24) in Chromohalobacter sp.Some heavy metals inhibited its activity ratio of Pb(NO3)2 %15.Its optimal temperature around 20-37°C, and optimal pH was found to be 5-9. Living and dead cells of Chromohalobacter sp showed a biosorption. It is concluded from the present study that, the biosorption of lead by Chromohalobacter sp can be used as a potential source for the bioremediation. This can be an interesting alternative for bioremediation processes of lead.
