Abstract (EN)
Strawberry is a type of fruit that can be grown within wide ecological limits, has a high appeal with its beautiful appearance, color, smell and taste, and its production is increasing. In this thesis, the disease severity and Quantitative Trait Loci (QTL) of gray mold disease caused by Botrytis cinerea, which causes commercial losses in strawberry cultivation, which has an important place in Mediterranean countries, were determined. Susceptibility of 52 strawberry genotypes to Botrytis Cinerea was screened by in vitro methods. Among these varieties, Fortuna strawberry variety was chosen as the most tolerant, Rubygem strawberry variety was selected as the parent because it was sensitive to Botrytis cinerea and two varieties were commercially important in our country. Disease indices and disease severity were determined from the phenotypic data by multiproduction 180 F1 individuals obtained with the Fortuna x Rubygem population. In this study, quantitative trait loci analysis results associated with gray mold (Botrytis cinerea) disease on leaves and fruits were determined. One QTL region was determined in terms of tolerance to gray mold (Botrytis cinerea) disease on the leaf. The detected QTL region was determined on the Rubygem map in LG16 at a significance level of 0.02 with a LOD value of 2.19. QTL regions related to tolerance to gray mold (Botrytis cinerea) disease in fruit were determined in Rubygem genetic map.The detected QTL regions were determined in two (2) different regions in LG3 and LG12 at a significance level of p<0.05. On the other hand, according to the p<0.01 threshold value, the LOD value of the QTL region determined in LG16 was determined in the 14 cm region, which was 2.93 and between the m184033341 and m184047067 markers at the p<0.003 significance level.
