Abstract (EN)
This study aims to determine mutual influence on molecular and electro-kinetics properties of blast furnace slag, fly ash, and cement with added natural pozzolan (Trass) with respect to reference cement (OPC 42,5 R). For this purpose, physical, chemical, mineralogical, molecular and electro-kinetics tests were applied to raw materials.Hydration progress in cement pastes was examined by applying standard cement experiments along with XRD, STA, and FT-IR methods. Furthermore, micro structures are examined using SEM.In this study, it is shown that physical characteristics of pozzolan mostly depend on their molecular structures. Properties of molecular structure, in addition to its chrystal and amorf character, change based on the existence of its chemical elements. In turn this affects the electrokinetic properties. Reference cement and pozzolans have different zeta potentials because they contain positive and negative atom and group of atoms. Therefore, the interaction of positive charge particles with the negative charge particles results in initially weak but later strong connections.Using the techniques, popular in cement science in order to determine hydration progress, such as XRD, STA and FT-IR, it was established that electrical (pull-push) and surface (hidrofil-hidrofob) characters of particles effect reaction progress. The same properties also have effects on mechanical progress of cements.
