Abstract (EN)

Dollar spot caused by Sclerotinia homoeocarpa and, leaf spot and root rot caused by Fusarium graminearum are severe disease problems on turfgrass area. The objective of this study was determine the efficacy of some biological fungicides and chemical fungicide on S. homoeocarpa and F. graminearum in field conditions. In this purpose, two biological fungicides named as T22 Planter Box and Agro Bioprotect with active ingredient Trichoderma harzianum and T.harzianum+Bacillus subtilis, respectively, an isolate of T. harzianum (TRIC8) and a fungicide (Tachigaren 30L) with active ingredient hymexazol were used during field experiments. The field soil were artificially inoculated with S. homoeocarpa and F. graminearum. The surface-sterilized turfgrass seeds were treated with the conidia suspension (1x108 conidia/ml) of TRIC8 by shaking the seeds for 1 hour. T22 Planter Box and Agro Bioprotect were applied to turfgrass seeds at the recommended dosages. Hymexazol 360 g/L SC was sprayed to turfgrass for two times at the recommended dosage. Nontreated plots were served as controls (-). T. harzianum isolate, T. harzianum Rifai KRL-AG2, T. harzianum+B. subtilis and Hymexazol 360 g/L were found as effective at the rates of 55,00%, 60,41%, 50,62% and 40,22% on S.homoeocarpa, respectively. T. harzianum isolate, T. harzianum Rifai KRL-AG2, T. harzianum+B. subtilis and Hymexazol 360 g/L were found as effective at the rates of 65,60%, 60,80%, 55,61% and 65,60% on F.graminearum, respectively.
