Abstract (EN)

This research consists of three main parts. When dealing with all of the topics, I tried to be simple, clear, and concise as much as I could within the bounds of possibility. In general, places that can be shown as a sample within the area are presented and up-to-date information is offered. On the first part of the thesis, information about the geo-physical form, the economy, the development and the history of tourism in China is presented. Benefiting from the recent general data about China, a statement has been made about the current status of the country. On the second part, the economy, the life style, natural and cultural resources of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region and richness of tourism in Turkey, current status of tourism in Turkey is examined. Also, the general structures and the specifications of these two regions are presented taking into consideration the up-to-date data. On the last part, the aims of China and the Uyghur Autonomous Region about tourism and the tourism events between Turkey and the Uyghur Autonomous Region are examined and the correlation and contrast between the two regions are presented and with the use of a survey conducted with 100 people, the problems and solutions offers are analyzed. On this part of the thesis, the aim of this thesis is given and thoughts on the status of the tourism in the Uyghur Autonomous Region are presented. Moreover, making use of the development plans, the things that are done in the region on this matter were also tried to be uncovered. In the 2000s, the region entered the process of democratization and reform. In this regard, with the perspective of trying to be a member of the European Union, one can infer that the democracy incentive policy is clearly important. In this thesis, with the three examples gathered from the periods before and after the Helsinki summit, consistency of the democracy incentive policy that the EU applies to Turkey was analyzed.
