Evaluation of Cinucen Tanrikorur's works in Seddisaba maqam in terms of musical elements

Cinucen Tanrıkorur, who is among the Turkish Music composers, has put forward important compositions for the transfer of Turkish Music to the future with his compositions. The composer, who brought works in a wide variety of forms, including large-form works to Turkish Music, has 505 compositions. Cinucen Tanrıkorur has an important place in the history of Classical Turkish Music. By scanning various written and visual sources related to the research subject; the life of Cinucen Tanrıkorur, who contributed to Turkish Music with his compositions, his artist personality, his composition, the maqams which were composed by him, and the lives of the lyricists of his verbal compositions were discussed. The subject of this research is the evaluation of the compositions in Seddisaba mode, which is composed by Cinucen Tanrıkorur and which is his own composition, in terms of musical elements. While the works that are the subject of the research are handled, the form structure, rhythm structure and modal structure of the works are evaluated. The research is important in terms of revealing the composer, researcher and oud performer aspect of Cinucen Tanrıkorur, introducing the Seddisaba makam, which is among the less used makams in Turkish Music, encouraging its use by other composers, and drawing attention to the less-used makams in Turkish Music.
