Abstract (EN)
As part of its High Luminosity-Large Hadron Collider (HL-LHC) upgrade program, CMS is developing a High Granularity Calorimeter (HGCAL) to replace the existing ENDCAP calorimeters. The HGCAL is a sampling calorimeter, featuring unprecedented transverse and longitudinal readout and trigger for both electromagnetic and hadronic compartments. Prototype modules, based on 6 and 8 inch hexagonal silicon sensors with pad areas of 1,1 cm2, have been constructed with Skiroc2-CMS card readout. In 2018, beam tests of different sampling configurations were conducted with the prototype modules at CMS, used to different energy from 20 to 300 GeV. In this thesis study minimum ionizing particle analysis are performed with data from performance tests of HGCAL prototype silicon modules.
