The use of piano in the stage performances of children's choirs

This is a descriptive research on the usage of accompanying on the piano in the stage performances of children's choirs and the company's traits, the harmonic and melodic fit and the effect on choir's musical performance. In this research, an interview questionnaire is presented to the expert choir educators and the video records from 10th National Afyonkarahisar 23 April National Sovereignty and Children's Day Choir's Festival are analyzed and commented on. As a result, it's concluded that the accompanying songs are not original, it's very rare to find original accompanying pieces, the pianists don't have enough knowledge about piano and the accompanying songs, non-original piano songs don't reflect the traits of the performed piece, spoil harmonic structure and drop the musical performance of children's choirs.
