Abstract (EN)

Generally, Transportation Information System (TIS) is established to manage the administration of transportation, service, coordination and planning activities. In order to coordinate functional TIS, graphical data (road, street, etc.) and attribute data (traffic and vehicle counts, etc.) should be stored and processed in a structured way. This structure should be kept together within several hardware and software components. Geographic Information System (GIS) is one of the tools that serves best for these requirements. The visualization of data, making spatial queries and producing analysis could become possible within this structure which is only provided by GIS. These processes can be accessed easier, faster and safer with the help of GIS. The major contribution of GIS to TIS can be summarized by this way. The aim of the study is to design Vehicle Fullness Etude and Moving Observer Method used TIS integrated with GIS on the example of Nigde City Center. Key Words :Transportation Engineering, Transportation Information System .(TIS) Geographic Information System (GIS)
