Abstract (EN)

In this study, climate risk scores were calculated for Azerbaijan in accordance with the Climate Risk Index created by Germanwatch between 2015 and 2023. Azerbaijan is bordered by both mountains and plains due to its climate zones and location, and therefore differences in climate can be observed. In the study, extreme weather events that create risks to the climate in Azerbaijan were determined. The data collected is divided into four categories: death counts, deaths per hundred thousand people, affected area (in square kilometres), and Gross Domestic Product (GDP) data. Climate risk scores are calculated for 74 regions of Azerbaijan, both economically and economically. These analyzes were carried out in the ArcGIS Pro program, then the maps were transferred to ArcGIS Online and finally a Dashboard was created. As a result, Baku city has been among the high-risk areas every year. As a result of the thesis, the most risky rayons and the most economically affected regions of Azerbaijan were determined. These findings provide important information that will contribute to the country's development of strategies to combat climate change.
