Abstract (EN)

The belief that art education is based on the master-apprentice relation and is only focused to application, is now that on started to be found strange and criticized in the developing and changing education system. However, in the art education, among those approaches, the multi-fielded art education method that combines the four fields (history of art, critic of art, aesthetic and application) is adopted and it is started to be practiced in many countries. This new method that art educators thinking that art education does not only focus to skillful students also defend, improves the students in multi-directed manner and grows students who know what art is, and explicate it, who express themselves in the right way, develop their ability of comment and criticism, feel the pleasure of art and the students who after all these pre-preparation feel the pleasure of success of producing a work.In Turkey, there is not a definite system or improved measurements to measure and assess the art education in the National Education. In general, art education has been left to the initiative of the teacher, and a definite system was not developed because it was not thought that education of art requires skill and subjectivity. In this paper, in MFAE method, it is going to be presented how measurement and assessment should be made in art education, that it stands as a problem, and it is going to be tried to provide suggestions to probable problems. In this research, empirical figures and pre-test last-test control group with pre-test last-test figure models are used. To the selected test and control groups, performance test that is combined of 29 questions (pre-test last-test) was applied. The lesson activity was applied to the experiment group with MFAE method and to the control group three week long (3*40 min.) activity in accordance with traditional method. By comparing the results of the pre-test last-test, it is tried to be evaluated which group is more successful. In addition, three students were selected from the experiment group and these students were examined in detail.
