Abstract (EN)

Solid waste landfill facilities are areas where waste is deposited and controlled in a controlled manner. Establishment of solid waste landfill facilities becomes a necessity in order to prevent the increasing amount of waste with the increase in population from harming human health and the environment. One of the most important stages of waste management is the site selection of these landfill facilities. Many criteria should be taken into account when site selection of landfill facilities. There are many techniques to realize these selections, such as multi-criteria decision making techniques. With these techniques, it is possible to make the most suitable selections among the potential facilities. In this study, in accordance with the information obtained from the AHP data of Mersinli (2021), special scales were created for each criterion and a decision matrix was created for use in TOPSIS and VIKOR techniques with a re-scoring technique. It was aimed to determine the most suitable alternative site for Bursa province, TOPSIS and VIKOR techniques were applied. Then, the results of AHP, TOPSIS and VIKOR techniques were compared. According to the ranking results in the applied techniques, the most suitable candidate facilities were found to be the same in all of the techniques.
