Abstract (EN)

In this study, performance measurement was made in three markets of a chain market serving in the supermarket sector. Performance measurement was made in line with the data received between 2016-2020. Data such as rental cost, employee cost, waste amount, energy cost, sales income, purchasing expense and sales area were obtained from the markets, and performance measurement was made based on these criteria. Data were evaluated using graphical analysis methods and statistics. It is not possible to evaluate the performance of the markets as a whole by analyzing the data graphically and statistically. Therefore, a different method must be used. At this point, multi-criteria decision making methods come to the fore as useful techniques. It is thought that multi-criteria decision-making methods will be a good performance measurement method to evaluate more than one alternative together with many criteria. First of all, the Entropy method, which is one of the multi-criteria decision-making methods, was used to determine the level of importance between the criteria. The criteria were weighted with the entropy method and the weight of the rental cost was the highest. Then, the performances of three markets were evaluated by using the Vikor, Aras and Moora methods, which are among the multi-criteria decision making methods, according to the criteria weights determined. When evaluated with the applied methods, it was seen that the market with the best performance was the same in all three methods. The performances of the markets were evaluated and suggestions were made for improvement studies.
