Abstract (EN)

In the study, the effects of multiple use in stadiums on design and usability were examined. It is a fact that stadiums are used for different events rather than a single purpose. When this is the case, economic concerns affect the design. The economic advantages and disadvantages of stadiums in multiple designs for clubs are examined in the study. In the study, physical education studies in the Old Turkish States, the Ottoman Empire and Renaissance Europe, starting from the Ancient Greek history related to the development of sports, were also examined and the sports performed in the Olympics, the rules of some of these sports and the types of places where they were practiced were examined. When modernity is mentioned in stadium design, innovations come to mind about what the stadium gives to the audience. In order for the stadiums built in previous years to be used in the Olympics as multi-use, only the running tracks and other additions and arrangements are taken into account without changing the ground and tribunes. Today, it can be aimed to make stadiums suitable for ground changes and to serve different types of sports. In the study, the purposes of multi-use, what types of use it can be for, and examples from the stadiums that are active today are given as examples. In the examples given, examples from old and new types of stadiums are given and each example is for a specific purpose.
