Contribution of the kokedamas to spatial perception in interior spaces and examination according to design elements and principles

Cosidering about the increase of concretion in cities and the intense stress of business life, people have become concerned to interior which has relaxing and refreshing effect. After that, people have undertook the care and maintenance of various plant forms and observed the development of plants. Public interiors are the places where social identity is reflected most intensively. The rapid orientation of social life to the interior requires the questioning of the quality of public life. The purpose of the research is that to examine the elements of Kokedama according to the design elements and principles, to determine the extent to which elements and principles affect the people in the interior, and to create a guide for the place in Kokedama designs. The main material of the study consists of a survey study evaluated according to the Likert scale and 16 photographs of 8 different public interiors and landscape architecture students who have received design education in different faculties participating in the study. As a method; One Way Anova and Pearson correlation statistics were applied to the survey data. In accordance with the study, the findings section includes the average-total tables, the analysis of the relationship between the different faculties, the analysis of the relationship between the design elements and principles and the perception of space, and the user profile. In pursuant of the analysis results, Kokedama applications have relaxing and refreshing effect, increase the perception of space as well as give the identity of space and each of the design principles and elements in each Kokedama design has various levels of influence.
