Abstract (EN)
Three-phase induction motors are the essential machines for high power applications where high efficiency, high reliability, and robust construction are required. Controlling the speed of the induction motor is one of the most important targets for most applications, especially in electric cars. However, in medium and high power applications, to control the speed of the induction machine, the current must be controlled instantaneously to prevent the motor from damage during the transient condition while the motor starts up or the sudden changes of the load. Therefore, the IFOC approach is recently used to control the speed of three-phase induction machines. In this method, the currents and the voltages are controlled instantaneously to keep the speed of the motor constant and provide safe operations. In this thesis, 0.25 kW three-phase induction motor modeled by MATLAB / SIMULINK and simulated in Direct-On-Line (DOL) condition after that for applying Indirect Field Orienteion Control (IFOC) method a three PI controller needed for current, flux and speed loop also they designed a cording to a motor's parameter that found them in Laboratory and calculated by hand after that the motor controlled by IFOC with adding some extra point to increasing the performance of system like lookup table for more protecting the motor from high voltage and also filed weakening designed. In the practical part inverter, rectifier, and sensor boards designed using proteus platform then the open-loop test is done by using 0.25 kW three-phase IM, Rectifier board, Inverter board, STM32F103C8 microcontroller and tested them using the Space Vecor Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM) signals that designed by the microcontroller. Then for closed-loop control is done using 0.25 kW three-phase IM , Rectifier board , Inverter board ,sensor board, STM32F103C8 microcontroller) and IFOC method implemented.
