Abstract (EN)

ABSTRACT Msc. Thesis Effect of Row Spacing with Sowing Rate at Winter Sowing Time on Yield and Some Quality Components of Black Cumin (Nigella sativa L.) Sinem SARAÇ Namık Kemal University Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences Department of Field Crops Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Ayşe Canan SAĞLAM This research was carried out in the field of Field Crops Department of Agricultural Faculty of Tekirdag Namik Kemal University to specify the appropriate sowing norm (400 gr/da-800 gr/da-1200 gr/da-1600 gr /da), the appropriate row distance (20 cm-30 cm-40 cm) and planting time (November) of the Black Cumin (Nigella sativa L.) in the conditions of Tekirdag in 2016-2017. In this study, the Çameli variety of Eskişehir Agricultural Research Institute was used as material. The research showed elapsed time as 33-35 days for the germination period, 70-75 days for first bloom, 90-95 days for blooming, 100-115 days for full bloom, 210-215 days for vegetation and 240-245 days for maturation. The research also showed that values could change between given scales which were: Plant height values were 60,50-74,43, side branches were 5,46-7,46 pieces / plant, capsules were 12,93-18,60 pieces / plant, weight of the capsule was 0,24-0.30 gr, weight of thousand grain was 2,58-2,93 gr, seed yield was 51,92 – 125,66 gr, Fixed Oil Ratio was % 21,70 -24,23 and protein ratio was % 10,15 -10,54, constant oil yield 12,32-37,24 kg/da vaules were found to vary between. Key words: Black cumin, sowing rate, row distance
