Abstract (EN)
Livability varies when trying to measure it, regardless of where one lives. The advantages or disadvantages that this difference creates also determine the level. The factors that determine the level are divided into many groups. The reason why the subject of the research is shaped on the basis of livability and recreation is to state exactly this. The problem of the research is that livability is discussed from a generalizing perspective in the literature. The aim of the research within the framework of the subject and problem is to reveal the recreational livability potential of the research area and to draw attention to the deficiencies in the literature by creating a complete analysis by addressing the issue from the perspective of managers and public. Mixed method was preferred as the method. The population of the research consists of the residents of the Çorum province. The sample group was 400 people over the age of 18 who participated in the survey and the interviewed officials from related institutions. Survey data were analyzed through the SPSS program. The interviews were evaluated using the content analysis method. When the research results are examined, the negative criticisms of the participants are mostly within the scope of sports fields and sports activities. Low participation in the activity is the main reason for the negativity. On the other hand, the recreational areas with the highest average compared to the general population are protected areas. However, the problem experienced by the public is concentrated on accessibility. The macro problem of this issue is that public green areas seem problematic in terms of security. In this context, providing public transportation opportunities for protected areas, creating an expected supply for social areas, performing functionality analysis for public green areas and increasing security, designing public sports areas for public areas in an expected and beneficial way, and finally, avoiding the generalization method in the literature.
