Abstract (EN)
This research was conducted as a descriptive study to determine the depression, burnout and quality of life of healthcare professionals during the pandemic period. The sample of the study consisted of 410 volunteer healthcare workers who met the inclusion criteria. In the study, data were collected using demographic questions, Beck Depression Scale, Maslach Burnout Scale and Nottingham Quality of Life Scale. Ethics committee and institutional permissions were obtained for the research. Data analysis was done by Turcosa Analytics. Data analysis was done in numbers and percentages, Kolmogorov Smirnov Test, Mann-Whitney U test and Kruskal Wallis test. In the study, healthcare workers' Beck Depression median score was 10.38±10.36, the highest Maslach Burnout scale score median was Personal Success sub- dimension (21.59±5.05), the lowest score median was depersonalization (5.59±3.27). is the lower dimension. Nottingham Quality of Life scale median score is 155.99±146.45, the highest score median is the Nottingham Quality of Life Pain subscale scale, while the lowest score median is the sleep subscale (11.29±17.52). Depression scale and burnout scale have a positive and strong level of emotional exhaustion sub-dimension (r=0.6221, p<0.001), a positive and moderate level of depersonalization sub-dimension (r=0.5628, p<0.001), quality of life scale and its sub-dimensions. While a positive, statistically significant relationship was detected between the scores, a negative, moderately statistically significant relationship was found only between the personal success sub-dimension of the burnout scale (r=- 0.5537, p<0.001). It has been suggested that social support programs and training should be provided to healthcare professionals to combat depression and burnout, and that quality of life should be improved with appropriate mental health interventions.
