A research on the effect of organizational change in airline companies during the COVİD-19 process on employee's organizational citizenship behavior feelings

Since 2020, the airline industry has experienced a recession with difficulties in maintaining employment and facilities due to Covid-19. This situation has brought psychological negativities and anxieties along with biological risks. The civil aviation sector has also been greatly affected by these problems. While many other sectors, along with the aviation sector, focused on the importance of change, employees' organizational citizenship-like feelings have also maintained their importance. The research focuses on the change in airline companies under the conditions created by the Covid-19 pandemic in the current process, and it is aimed to determine the perceptions of airline employees about organizational change regarding these changes. The universe of the research consists of airline personnel working in an airline company. In this context, the final data of the research consisted of the responses of a total of 390 participants. In this study, the empirical findings obtained with the SPSS statistical program of the quantitative research carried out in the sample of airline officers working in the field of aviation have shown that being affected by the organizational changes that occurred during the Covid-19 pandemic is effective in organizational citizen behavior. Although the participants have negatively been affected by the changes created by Covid-19, this situation has strengthened their organizational citizenship behaviors.
