Abstract (EN)

In this study, Cu-Al-Mn alloys with different weight percent were fabricated by melting metal powders in induction furnace under argon atmosphere and then by applying rapid solidification. Cu-15%Al-4%Mn, Cu-15%Al-%10Mn, Cu-15%Al-12%Mn, Cu-15%Al-14%Mn, Cu-15%Al-16%Mn alloys were called as CAM-4, CAM-10, CAM-12, CAM-14, CAM-16, respectively. Due to the changes of the alloy percentages after casting processes, alloy rates were determined by using EDX results received from least three different zones. X-ray diffraction method was used for the determination of the crystal structures of the alloys and the unit cell parameters of the formed phases. It was observed that the main phase is ?1ı in all of the samples. It was also determined ß1 phase and impurity phases in the samples from XRD measurement results. The transformation temperatures of the alloys were determined from TG/DTA measurements. The dependence to magnetic field of the alloys was characterized with VSM. The variation of magnetization with magnetic field (M-H) was examined in different temperatures.Curie temperatures of the alloys were measured depending on different heating rates. Obtained results were compared with literature and were seen in accord.Key Words: Ferromagnetic shape memory event, magnetization, Curie temperature, CuAlMn
