Abstract (EN)

Electrospin nanofibers, whose function has been increased in recent years, have attracted a lot of attention. In this study, the characterization of nanofibers synthesized by electrospinning and their use in applications were investigated. First, mucilage was obtained using Cucurbita pepo (Cp) and Cucumis sativus plants (Cs). The resulting mucilage was solutionized with the Polyvinylalcohol (PVA) polymer selected as filling material. Suitable solutions were determined by electrospin method, solutions containing plant mucilage and PVA, and nanofiber was produced. Characterization of the synthesized nanofibers was made using techniques such as SEM, FT-IR. Then, gluteraldehyde (GA) was used to crosslink PVA, PVA/Cp and PVA/Cs naofibers. Cross-linked nanofibers Cu (II) heavy metal removal experiments were carried out. Experimental data obtained were evaluated according to Langmuir, Freundlich, Dubinin-Radushkevich and temkin isotherms. It is concluded that Langmuir isotherm is more compatible. Biosorption kinetics are described using Lagergren pseudo-first order, pseudo-second order, Elovich and intraparticle diffusion kinetic models. Suitable Cu (II) biosorption capacities have been achieved by experiments of 10-150 minutes at 25ᵒC, 35ᵒC, and 45ᵒC temperatures.
