Abstract (EN)

Low voltage Distributed Generation (DG) systems based on renewable energy sources required high-gain and high-efficiency step up DC-DC converters to provide maximum energy to the load. In this thesis, a design and analysis of soft switching high voltage gain DC-DC converter was studied by using a coupling inductor, active clamp circuit and resonant voltage quadrupler cell for distributed energy sources. For maintaining low switching losses, the main and auxiliary switches are turned on at Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS) and diodes are turned off with Zero Current Switching (ZCS). The working principle, theoretical analysis and operating modes of the proposed soft-switching DC-DC converter with the low cost and simple structure was presented in detail. The proposed soft-switching DC-DC converter was simulated with the PSIM program and the converter results of the laboratory prototype was experimentally verified.
