Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted in Asilbeyli Village of Kırklareli province centre with 4 replications according to the coincidence blocks experimental design. Urea fertiliser is generally used as top fertiliser in grain corn production in the province. In this study, urea fertiliser was used as top dressing after classical base fertilisation and 3 different nitrogen inhibitor fertilisers {DCD (Dcyandiamide), DMPP (3,4-Dimethylpyrazole Phosphate) and NBPT [N-(n-butyl) Thiophosphoric Triamide]} were used together with urea fertiliser. Fertiliser treatments in this field experiment were U1 (Control); U2: Urea (46%N); U3: DCD-Dcyandiamide (46%N); U4: DMPP-3,4-Dimethylpyrazole Phosphate (46%N) and U5: NBPT-N-[n-butyl Thiophosphoric Triamide] (46%N). The amount of fertiliser applied in the experiment was 0 kg N/da for the control group and 23 kg N/da for all other groups. According to the results of the research; more yield was obtained when inhibitor fertiliser was used in grain maize production. As a result of the experiment, yield increase was 13% in DMPP (U4), 9% in DCD (U3) and 8% in NBPT (U5) compared to urea (U2) plots. According to these results, when used at the right dose and time in grain maize production, inhibitor fertiliser can be easily used because it provides extra yield increase compared to other known mineral fertiliser applications.
