Abstract (EN)
ABSTRACTHAVİNG DİFFERENT SURFACE PROFİLE OF SUN COLECTORS MEATTRANSFER AND PRESSURE LOSS İNVESTİGATE EXPERİMENTALLYMehmet ATICIFırat UniversityThe Institute of Natural SciencesMechanical Education Main Scientific Branch2006, Page : 46In studies performed for air collectors, which have different surfaces, thermal performance ofthe collector is increased. As known, Increasing of flow path is the reason for increasing of thermalperformance of solar collector. The thermal performance of extant solar collectors is found to be lowlevel because of physical prooeries of the air.In this study, three solar collector having three different types, which have smooth, groovedand trapezium designed separately. The effect of three parameters on the thermal performance of thesolar collectors was investigated. The experiments were performed on the days of June, July and August in Elazığ in 2006.During that day it was sunny and clear. Efficiency of solar collector, pressure loss, were obtained bybeing calculated from experimental data and compared with literature. It was seen that the efficincy ofsolar collector increased 30-40 % compared t oflat plate collector.Key words: Solar energy, Solar Air Colletor, Efficiency, Thermal performance.VIII
