Abstract (EN)

Air conditioning systems are commonly used devices in order to bring the living spaces to the desired thermal comfort. In practice, it is possible to see many different systems according to their application areas. One of the most important of these is the variable refrigerant flow (VRF) air conditioning systems, which come to the fore with the increasing amount of applications. The major factor in the widespread use of VRF systems is that it can operate multiple indoor units from a single outdoor unit or a combination of outdoor unit modules. These systems can meet the cooling, heating or simultaneous cooling and heating requirements of an environment. Although many different applications are used in the air conditioning of hotels, variable refrigerant flow rate systems are seen as the most applied systems. Within the scope of this study, the project design of the VRF system applied in the air conditioning of a hotel in İzmir was comprehensively transferred and the technical investigations and evaluations were made. The performance stages of the system were evaluated by examining the application stages of the system.
