Deliklitaş Region-Eskişehir city geographical information systems with analyses of earthquake risk

The loses of lives earthquakes which is one of the first standingcatastrophes, is a kind of catastrophe which has also life, economical, socialand psychological loses. Today, in spite of the fact that the scientists try toguess the earthquakes at first, the usual method is to know have riskgeographical places and buildings which are have to consider.In this thesis, it is aimed that there must be earthquake risk analyseand risk map for Deliklitas region buildings (Concrete and Masonry Bearing)in Eskisehir. Therefore, building inventory questionnaire was done for typesof buildings, number of floors, type of building?s ground, construction ofbuildings dates, their qualities. Also, for local ground group, the map ofEskişehir engineering geology is used and all information which was obtainwas transfered to the Geographical Information Systems. Later, according tothe building classify, for type of ground, the spectral response and buildingscapacity curves were separated, then with the level of performance curveswhich was done before was found expectation active with the lose for fourdifferent types of damage (slight, moderate, extensive, complete) for differentbuilding types in working zone by the help of the fragility curves and wereshowed on the Geographical Information Systems.Keywords :Earthquake, Geographical Information Systems, EarthquakeRisk Analyse, Fragility Curves
