Abstract (EN)
Connecting devices that can be used to reach the system, machines and users globally through a network on the Internet is a new concept for the iron and steel industry. The Iron and Steel Industry (ISI) consists of heavy industrial factories consisting of integrated facilities, which have to be renewed and renewed at any time. From the automotive sector to the construction sector, the supplier of the sector is obliged to engage with technology. Today's technology is in a period that needs to use the Internet more. IoT (Internet of Things) is the ultimate point of use of the Internet and will play an important role in the new achievements. In this study, distance, cyber security and magnetic field problems encountered in the implementation of IoT in ISI were investigated and the corresponding solution suggestions were presented. In addition, with the IoT in the regions where there are no problems, the billet cutting system and its contribution to the production based on the gains and acquisitions have been revealed.
