Abstract (EN)
Hand tools widely used in the world are usually made of steel material. The surfaces of steel materials are heated by friction. Especially in low alloyed steels the heat transfer is high and the surfaces heat up faster. The grinding, sanding and machining processes are followed by the oxidation of the sawdust (combustion) and friction sparks. Another way of sparks; They are the origin of the potential differences between materials by machining, transport, friction and impact. This arcs makes the sparks. Spark formation is not desired in terms of safety in flammable, explosive environments such as natural gas power plants, petro chemical plants, plastic raw material production facilities, solvent and fuel storage and filling facilities, petrol stations, coal mines, oil refineries. The use of hand tools made of steel materials in these environments is dangerous. These environments require the use of exproofed hand tools that do not create sparks or produce sparks that are too low to be sufficient to ignite the environment. In this study; Slugging Ring Wrench Hand Tool was produced Cu-Al (Aluminum Bronze) and Cu-Be (Beryllium Bronze) alloys, which are most commonly used as non-spark materials, by hot forging. Different heat treatment methods have been applied to the Wrenchs produced by the hot forging method. After these processes, specimens were prepared and examined for microstructure studies, tensile test, notch impact test, hardness test. Products with the best mechanical and metallurgical properties as a result of tests; Non-Sparking test, SEM microstructure analysis and EDS analysis, Ansys structural analysis studies were performed. After all tests, the parameter of hand tool production which has the closest strength values to the steel material by hot forging method which does not spark (Aluminum Bronze and Beryllium Bronze) is determined.
