Abstract (EN)

One of the most vital issues in cities is the smooth functioning of the infrastructure. Many parameters, from the type of material-connection used in the infrastructure to geological-geotechnical features, are important for a problem-free and sustainable system. In this study, the relationship between the number of underground defects and geological-geotechnical features was investigated. For this purpose, eighteen neighborhoods in Denizli city center where problematic grounds are common were selected as pilot areas. The systems operating with gravity in the study area were included in the research. The rainwater and sewer pipelines in the study area are designed as a separate system. For this reason, the soil-defect relationship is established separately for each system. The bearing capacity and shear wave speed of the soil and groundwater level were taken into account and the field data were obtained from one hundred and one geotechnical drillings located in the study area. Geotechnical data and infrastructure information and routes are digitally matched in the geographic information system. The defects occurring on infrastructure lines have been digitized with location information and integrated into the system. The results revealed that there is a close relationship between the bearing capacity, shear wave speed and groundwater level of the soils and the number of defects at the infrastructure lines.
