Abstract (EN)

Endosseous dental implants are used as prosthetic treatment alternatives for treating partial or full edentulism. Excellent long term results and high success rates have been achieved using dental implants during the past decades. Several designs of the implant prosthesis have been used in the rehabilitation of the edentulous mandible. These designshave been classified by the nature of the support provided to the prosthesis: implantsupported fixed prosthesis, implant-supported removable overdenture, and an implantretained and tissue-supported removable overdenture. The aim of this study is investigate the stress distributions of implant retained overdentures. Nobel Replace is used as implant model. And ball attachment is used to support the prosthesis. Five different implant positions, two different implant materials and three different foodstuff positions used. Finite Element Analysis performed by using ANSYS Workbench. Results showed that higher stress values occurred on zirconium implant used models than titanium implant used models. Stress concentration areas were placed at the neck of implant. Maximum stress values occurred while foodstuff positioned at the first molar area. Keywords: Dental implant, Removable overdenture, Finite element method
