Abstract (EN)

Warehouse systems generally consist of the horizontal and vertical load carrier components. Horizontal ones are called beams and vertical ones are called upright. The hook connection systems are commonly used where beam and upright are assembled. In this study, the welded connection of beams, which are used in racking systems, with beam profile and beam end connector, is investigated. Analytically studies were perfomed to obtain an algortihm which optimizes the lenght of welding according to applied load on beams. The optimum combination of the welded connection has been put forward as a result of the researches, analytical studies and tests carried out. Following these studies, the distribution of stress in the beam end connector during loading is investigated analytically and the stress distribution equation is obtained. Furthermore, the distance between beam end connector and the beam profile, which affects the statically load carrying capacity of the beam, is optimized with analytical studies, tests and FEM analysis. On the other hand, shelf trays, which are used with beams in the light duty racking systems, were investigated analytically and obtained algortims, which gives load carrying capacity according to stress distribution. FEA analysis were also perfomed to confirm algorithms.
