Abstract (EN)

The selection and placement of the right materials to the warehouses of the enterprises has a great importance in terms of the efficient use of the warehouses. It is very important that the process of selecting the material to be placed in the warehouse is evaluated together by the responsible and authorized employees of the company. However, the issuance of such decisions regarding the enterprises carries uncertainties as the qualitative and quantitative criteria are included together. For this reason, multiple criteria decision making methods help in making such decisions. These methods help to make the right decision by evaluating the problems at the same time where the uncertainties of more than one decision maker are presented. This study was carried out in the warehouse of an automotive company operating in Adana. AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process), TOPSIS and Fuzzy TOPSIS were used for multi-criteria decision. The application shows that all three methods can be used as effective methods for the placement of the most suitable material for the warehouse.
