Abstract (EN)

In this research, we aimed to the determination of minimum usage concentrations and efficiencies of 7 different biocides commercially used in leather industry, against microorganisms isolated from leather wet treatment processes. Three different concentrations (% 0,001, %0,01 and %0,1 v/v) of biocides used in research, studied in-vitro conditions. Active substances of biocides used in research are BI (composed from quarternerized compounds), BII (Thiocyanic acide based), BIII (composed from Benzotiazol derivatives), BIV (TCMTB based), BV (In prospectus, active substance is not clear), BVII (aqueous solutions of dithiocarbomad sodium ) respectively. As a result, it was determined that all biocides were more effective on bacteria isolates than fungus isolates. It was determined that, all biocides prevented growth of % 85 of fungi isolates and % 98 of bacteria isolates in concentration of % 0,1. Besides, BI, BII, BIII and BIV prevented entire growth of bacteria isolates except two isolates (49 and 56) in all salt contents when they have concentration of % 0,01. It is proven that, BII, BIII and BIV biocides controlled bacteria with % 83 of fungi isolates in concentrations of % 0,001.
