Research on dress comfort for leather overdress

The purpose of this study is to determine the consumer satisfaction as to the thermo-physiologic (thermal) comfort, psychological (aesthetical) comfort, sensorial (tactile) comfort and body movement comfort for leather overdress, and to bring forward proposal to the unsatisfactory aspects in the light of the obtained data.In the research, descriptive survey method has been deployed. The survey technique has been used in the collection of research data, and furthermore, detailed source screening has been conducted on the concept of comfort, types of dress comfort, leather and leather technology, and leather production. The universe of research is constituted by the consumers of leather overdress in the city of Istanbul. On the other hand, the sample of research is constituted by 400 consumers of leather overdress who have been picked by way of simple random sampling.The numerical values and percentages for the data obtained in the research have been calculated by carrying out statistical analysis in SPSS 15.0 program.Taking into consideration the results revealing the consumer satisfaction in leather overdress, it has been ascertained that the comfort types are very critical in determining the satisfaction status of consumers.In line with the results obtained, the expectations of leather overdress consumers for the products have been outlined and it has been proposed that the producers prepare products by considering these information.Key words: Dress Comfort, Types of Comfort, Leather Overdress
