Dr. Murat AKSOYMany computer applications work to communicate an illusion of interactionwith virtual world. The generation of 3D solid objects, and more generally solidgeometric modeling, is very important in Computer Aided Design (CAD), computergames, vehicle simulations and scientific visualizations. CSG (Constructive SolidGeometry) is an approach to geometric modeling. There are many parallel hardwareapplications for the generation of CSG images, such as pixel-based systems.Planar geometric projections can be classified as parallel, and perspectiveprojections. While the parallel projected scenes are useful for recording the exactshapes and measurements of objects, they exhibit less realistic views as they arelacking perspective foreshortening.In this thesis, we will design a module which can be integrated to the pixel-based parallel rendering systems to obtain perspective views using a microcontroller.Because USB ports are getting more popular for the next generation technology andspeed of data transfer, we will use the USB ports for data communication.Keywords: Pic Microcontroller, USB, Parallel Projection, PerspectiveProjection, Parallel PortII
