The effect of elaboration theory of instruction based education software to students academic success

Abstract (EN)

In this study education softwares have been compared with some educational softwares prepared in compliance with Elaboration Theory of Instruction by taking it consideration of students academic success. The subjects of this research consisted of 10th class students (total of 26). Students participating to research have been divided in to two groups first, and pre-test has been applied to students at the beginning of the unit. Afterwards, the first group is trained with a software prepared by Elaboration Theory of Instruction supports, while the second one is trained with other educational software. After all, final test has been appllied to both groups at the end of the unit. The data have been analyzed by using frequency, t-test and ANOV A. The findings of these analyses can be summarized that the usage of educational software prepared in accordance with Eloboration Theory of Instruction, has no meaningful effect in academic success.
