A method suggestion on the basic teaching of the tar instrument which is provided in Turkish music units of state conservatories

In this thesis study, approaches have been made on the basic teaching of the tar instrument in the Turkish Music Units of the State Conservatories. In this context; Three methods commonly used in tar education in Turkish Music State Conservatories were examined, comments were made about the teaching process of these methods, and the similarities and differences between the methods were revealed. Determinations were made taking into account the difficulties experienced by the students in the process of adapting to this instrument, as well as the disruptions experienced in the basic teaching of the tar instrument, which is taught at the State Conservatories of Turkish Music. A method has been suggested to overcome these difficulties faced by students and instructors and to support the education and training process. Based on the goal of basic teaching of the Tar instrument, which constitutes the main axis of the thesis, etudes were written to support the adaptation process of students studying Turkish music and reinforced with folk melodies. The research is considered important as it is the first systematic study on the subject in the field.
