Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of digital story based teaching on mathematics of student's academic achievement, motivation and attitude towards the mathematical activities. The study was conducted with students of forth grade, primary school in Kırkağaç of the province Manisa, Education year of 2016-2017 spring semester. In five week period study, experimental group design model with pre-test and past-test with control group was conducted. In the experimental period, experimental group with 20 students were implemented digital story based teaching instruction and control grup with 23 students were implemented traditional teaching approach based instruction model. As data collection instrument academic achievement test developed by the researcher and mathematic motivation scale developed by Balantekin and Oksal (2014), mathematic activity attitude scale developed by Ocak and Dönmez (2010) were implemented in this study. Data collection instruments were conducted before and after the experimental process and data were analyzed. In the data analysis, Shapiro Wilk, in dependent groups' t test, Mann Whitney U, Wilcoxon test. As a result of the research, digital story based teaching is not effective on a academic achievement. But digital story based teaching is effective on internal motivation and on sub dimense of trust and independence.
