Abstract (EN)
Losses in transformers and lines that feed residential subscribers in the Electricity Distribution Network are reflected to our invoices under the name of distribution fee. In these transformers, besides the iron and copper losses related to transformer efficiency, reactive power losses occur due to the lack of compensation. Unfortunately, these losses are only considered as economic and energy efficiency at these points has been neglected. In my thesis, the benefits of reactive power compensation, which are neglected at these points, are emphasized. In addition to this, reactive power compensation calculations and types, power quality and importance, harmonics, data obtained from distribution network cabinets were evaluated and the problems in the system were emphasized. In addition, groups of subscribers examined data taken from the load profiles and overall Turkey has made certain inferences. The transformer efficiency change was observed in ohmic, inductive and non-linear load situations by referring to the calculation of the distribution transformer capacity and lifetime, by simulating the 400 kVA transformer with the Ansoft-Maxwell model.
