Abstract (EN)

In this study, metal powders, it is necessary for the gear manufacturing by the powder metallurgy, assured to desire amonunts from sintek toz metalurji sanayi ve ticaret A.Ş. and according to chemical content of metal powders. the solution was prepared in this company.Then the determination of module and teeth number of gear which will manufacture, the other parameters was calculated by kissoft hinvare 2004, to make the resisance properties right, profile sliding operation was applied and drafting of the gear was been drawn.The parameters of the results of all the calculation of the gear were given to ne-ka kalip san. ve tic. a.ş. for the manufacturing of its compressing mold which was finished. in this company, compressing level was realized in different pressure values by according to decided thickness measurements which was given in the beginning.Compressed items was been sintered in different relative heats to condition stable times.the samples was been sintered range from 900 c to 1350 c in heat levels in the sintering operation. cooling in the air and water was been applied on the samples.After the sintering operation,according to the decide plan, the samples were prosessed by wire edm machine and its sem fotographs were taken to get any information of the resistance by appling the certain experiments.hardness values and densities of the samples was been measured.tribolojical properties of samples was been researhed. result of all the experiments was done;Special processes increases the resistance in the manufacturing level,it is necessary to use double efected press machine and to heat the mold, low pressure compresing decrease the density of the gear and increase the coming apart in the surface. Density of the gear must be about 7,65 gr/cm3 for the gear have a strong resistance.to reach the density level occured many factors. they are increasing of the pressure, compressing method, sintering method, cooling velocity and heating value. If these processes are applied, mechanical properties are improved.
