Abstract (EN)

Classical Turkish literature has maintained its existence with different forms of poems and genres for nearly six centuries. In the field of classical Turkish literature, there are studies that examine texts in all aspects by taking the form of a poem as a center, besides the studies on the text, the content of the text, the language and the style. We also found it appropriate to focus on the topic of "small mesnevis", which holds an important place in divans and on which it has not focused on till now. One of the verse forms written in couplets in divan poetry is mesnevis. The mesnevi, the rhyming form of the word "mesna" which means "twin, two" in Arabic, is called rhyming with each rhyme between them. The distinctive feature that distinguishes mesnevi from other verse forms written in mesnevi, couplets is that every gentleman is given a separate heart. In Divan poetry there are mesneves, which are independent works, as well as small mesnevis which are located in divans. The basic criterion that distinguishes the small mesnevis which are located in the divan with the independent mesnevis is that the independent mesnevi should be written and book in a certain plan. The purpose of this thesis to examine the purpose of small mesnevis in terms of form and content. In our study there are 1402 small mesnevis which were taken from different centuries on 220 divans. In the thesis, firstly the information about the form of the mesnevi poetry was given and then the small mesnevis which were determined from the divans from the 13th century to the 19th century were introduced. In the following section, the features of the small mesneviler according to the place, titles, desire dimension and parts used in the divans have been removed. In the last part, the content characteristics of the small mesnevis are presented in 40 titles and then the results from our work are listed.
