The aim of the study was to determine yieldand quality properties of various sweet basil (Ocimum basilicum L.) (Adana,Osmaniye, İzmir and Diyarbakır) populations. The study was planned on the plantingdensity of 30x70 cm. According to the results of the research; plant height, branchnumber per plant, fresh herba yield, dried herba yield, dried leave yield and essentialoil ratio were determined between 37.13-82.07 cm, 10.67-27.47, 421.0-3197.0 kg/da,78.4-644.1 kg/da, 54.7-339.3 kg/da and 0.49-1.25 %, respectively. As a result, it wastought that should study on the Adana Küçük Yapraklı (Small Leave) andDiyarbakır Top Fesleğen (Compact Basil) populations in the Diyarbakır condition. Keywords: Ocimum basilicum, Population, Harvesting Date, Dried Leave Yield,Essential Oil Ratio
