Abstract (EN)
This study conducted to determine the effect of different growing stages on the yield and morphogenetic variability of hyssop (Hyssopus officinalis L). The study was carried out at the experiment area of Field Crops Department, Agriculture Faculty, Dicle University during 2005 and 2006 years under Diyarbakır condition. In the study, plant height (cm), fresh herb yield (kg da-1), dry herb yield (kg da-1), dry leaf yield (kg da-1), essential oil content, essential oil yield and essential oil components were investigated at the pre flowering, full flowering and post flowering periods. Essential oil components were identified by GC/MS. In the research, the values of plant height, dry herbage and leaf yields were varied between 43.06 and 48.63 cm, 416.3 and 534.8 kg/da and 200.9 and 273.5 kg/da, respectively. The highest essential oil content was obtained from full flowering stage at the top part of plant and essential oil content varied between 0.70 % and 1.22 %. The main constituents of hyssop essential oil were determined as isopinocamphone, beta-pinene, simol, 1.8-sineol, cis-osimen, homomyrtenol, sabinen. myrtenol, elemol, and iso-pinocamphone content varied between % 26.88 and 53.61 %. Keywords: Hyssop; Hyssopus officinalis L., yield, essential oil, pinocamphone
