Investigation of die surface angle variation at the deep drawing of DKP sheet steel

Saucepans, beverage and perfume cans, tubes etc. products have been manufactured via deep drawing method. For this reason, a lot of research are being carried out for improve the deep drawing. In this study, we gave various angles on the die and blank holder surfaces. The main objective of this study, determine of affects of die-blank holder angle variations on the DKP 37 sheet which using intensively at our country's industry. Four different blank holder forces applied on the sheet and affects of blank holder force variation on the deep drawibility of DKP 37 sheet investigated. Because of deep drawing is one of the plastic deformation methods, at the first stage of thesis, plastic deformation was explained, hi addition, some information was given about molding. Later deep drawing method was explained. Consequently, with giving some angle oh the die-blank holder surfaces, limit drawing ratio can be increased and blank holder force which get under control of sheet flow, have been decreased on a large scale.
