Abstract (EN)

Underground natural gas storage has a very important place in providing the increases of seasonal consumption and preventing the unexpected problems that can be encountered with supply of natural gas. Underground natural gas storage has an important role in providing gas to domestic, industrial and other customers in a safe and efficient way. In natural gas market, usage of underground natural gas storage method is very important to regulate the seasonal consumption surge in terms of end users. The master aim of underground natural gas storage is to inject the gas to storage while the consumption is low and to take gas from storage when the consumption is too high or there are some problems in supplying gas. Also, storing helps to decrease seasonal demands and price surges. In this study, the natural gas transfer/distribution lines in Turkey are simulated by considering the supply and demand amounts and the storing and using amounts of the storages in use or storages that will be used in future in reasonable months are evaluated under different price scenarios and probable gas shortages. Besides, the generated simulation model in this study is modeled by analyzing consumption values and the values that change according to gas purchase contract under random variables and using real data.Key Words: Natural Gas storage, Simulation, Non-linear models
