Abstract (EN)

In recent years, while the world is in the process of high technological and scientificdevelopment, it has been confronted the danger of spoiling the equilibrium in the ecologicalsystem. Studies should be made to solve the problem of spoiled equilibrium in the ecologicalsystem. Also in our country, the environmental pollution caused by the industrialization and the increasein the population is still keeping its place among the current issues.Environmental pollution is caused by in large proportion by the water pollution. The heavymetals in proportion to their concentration in the waste water cause dangers for many speciesliving in there. One elimination method of heavy metals from the waste water is the adsorption of heavymetals. In this study; in the case of exceeding a specific limit, lead is having toxic effect on the livingstructures, the adsorption of lead on phosphate, perlite and clinoptilolite has been researchedThe study consists of three parts. In the first part, principal factors affecting the adsorption areobserved. In the second part, mixing clinoptilolite and phosphate with different concentration ofall the adsorbent substances such as CH3COOH, H3PO4, NaOH, KCI and CaCO3 the adsorptionoutput above %90 has been obtained. Especially for CaCO3 mixed with all the adsorbentsubstances the output as much as %99.5 has been obtained. In the third part, all the adsorbent substances have been activated in a thermal process.Theoutput of adsorption for clinoptilolite at 800 oC is about %99.6 and for phosphate at 600 oC isabout %95.9 as a result of being activated in a thermal process.Key Words : adsorption, lead, clinoptilolite, phosphate, perlite
