Abstract (EN)
The controls done during production and mounting of natural gas pipe lines have importance for the quality, human and environmetal safety. It is well known that an operation without following the technigue or even a small flaw in the evaluation will cause harmful effects. For this reason, in this study the welded connection regions of steel natural gas pipes are tested. X-rays and gamma rays are applied in order to take several films of the pipes. After completing the investigations, it was observed that there were some common welding flaws. In order to overcome the problems due to processing flaw and to improve the quality, we offered different suggestions and possible solitions. In the meantime, it was also evaluated whether the processing flaws are acceptable according to API 1104 standarts.
