Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, literature on foreign direct investments is studied and by investigating their definition, development over time and developments influencing direct investments, determinants of direct investments and their effects on country economics are presented. Considering technology and foreign direct investments together, probable technology spillovers caused by direct investments included and in the final chapter contribution of foreign direct investments on technology in Turkey is researched.
