Abstract (EN)
Investigation area is located in Hüseynik Disrict in the boundaries of Elazig Province.The geological and geotechnical survey studies in the investigation area have been performed in order to figure out the engineering characteristics and potential problems of the grounds and the detection of natural disaster existences.As part of determined aims, the ground was drilled in the investigation area. Standart Penetration experiment which is one of the land ground experiments were applied. At the same time, sieve analysis, Atterberg limits, 3- axial pressure tests and the soil settlement and swelling analysis were made on the unspoilt samples. 1-axial pressure tests were applied on the core samples. So, the ground characteristics could be designed.KEYWORDS: Ground,engineering geology, soil drillings, geotechnic, problems ofground.
